Bayern Munich Drawn with Arsene Wenger's Gunners

Bayern Munich remain 9/4 favourites with the football betting odds to retain their UEFA Champions League title after being drawn against Arsenal in the last 16 of the competition.

The draw was made on Monday lunchtime in Nyon and has pitted the top teams in the respective leagues of Germany and England together.

Bayern are 1/6 to qualify and get past Arsene Wenger’s men over the two legs. The first tie will be at the Emirates Stadium on February 19, with the return fixture coming from the Allianz Arena a week later.

2012 winners, Barcelona, also face a tough tie in the next round as they will take on Manchester City. The Spanish club are out to 11/2 with bet365 following the draw.

City have made it through to the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in their history. They managed to finish second to Bayern Munich in Group A, despite beating the German champions away from home in their final group game.

Goal difference was the difference in the end, which resulted in Manuel Pellegrini’s side having to settle for a runners-up spot.

Fans who bet on football can find Barcelona at 2/5 to qualify, while the English club are 7/4 to put the four-time winners out.

Second favourites, Real Madrid, have been supported into 4/1 after they were drawn with Schalke. The Spanish giants will be expected to come out on top and reach the quarter-final once again where they are 1/9 to do so.

Manchester United were given the test of Olympiakos in the last 16 of top European club competition. Despite some indifferent domestic form, they have had little trouble in Europe so far this season and are 1/4 to progress, while the Greek club are in at 11/4.
