Who will Win the Champions League next May?

The Champions League is underway once more and speculation has already started as to who will lift the trophy next May.

Last year’s champions Bayern Munich are the current favourites at odds of around 7/2 with the likes of http://casino.betway.com. They have started this season well; they are joint-top of the Bundesliga with 16 points from six games. The Bavarian giants have a massive chance of winning.

They arguably possess the best coach in the world in Pep Guardiola, and have an array of talent including Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, Bastian Schweinsteiger as well as the starlet Mario Gotze. They kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 3-0 mauling of CSKA Moscow.

Barcelona will be itching to set the record straight after their humiliation at the hands of Munich in last year’s semi-final. They are second favourites priced at around 4/1. Blessed with the most technically gifted squad in Europe, they have a fantastic chance of reclaiming their throne. With people running out of superlatives for Leo Messi, who has already scored a hat-trick in this competition, Barca look like a real force to be reckoned with.

The other giants of Spain Real Madrid are priced at around 5/1. They have started their campaign with a 6-1 victory at Galatasaray, with stalwart Cristiano Ronaldo grabbing a hat-trick. New boss Carlo Ancelotti has twice won the competition with AC Milan, providing vital experience to Madrid who are looking for their first Champions League win since 2002. The combination of new-boy Gareth Bale and Ronaldo has many salivating. Whether the duo can guide Madrid to glory only time can tell.

As for the English sides: Man United, Chelsea and Man City are all priced at somewhere near 14/1 while Arsenal are 22/1. Mourinho has won the Champions League twice but hasn’t won it with his beloved Chelsea. Their campaign has, though, started poorly following a 2-1 defeat to Basel. Both Manchester teams pose a decent threat but sadly the English teams don’t have enough to upset the apple-cart.

The bet for me would be Real Madrid at around 5/1.
