Our retirement savings, our educational savings, our homes weren't enough?
Oh, I'm paying for my mortgage all right.
My payment is going to banks who are speculating with it and over-inflating it's value.
I think they will blow this 700 billion just like they blow everything.

Yeah.

The government is not really the government. They work for Wall Street; we all do. That's what this week means.

Everyone say thank you BushCo.
Oh Lord! People actually think this is going to be paid back to us? This is worse than I thought.

No money was "given away" in the sense that you'd like to believe to further your hatred of the Bush administration, it was given in the form of a loan that has to be paid back with interest. We will recieve all the money back and depending on inflation vs. interest rate we may actually profit from the loan.

Just another example of why living on credit, ie in debt, isn't the brightest idea in the world.

I hope everyone realizes that your lenders can 'call the notes' to your home, cars, etc anytime they feel the need is there.

That is what this bill was partially addressing...

They sure did! And you can bet that the 'limited executive compensation' that will be given out to companies taking the bailout will be in the millions. After the S&L bailout, how can the government bail out Wall Street without people revolting in the streets?

The executives should be going to jail and forced to downsize their lifestyle like the millions affected by this disaster. No more mansions. No more yachts. No more chances. Not one cent should bail out these thieves.

No bailout for those that willfully signed fraudulent loan agreements either. Only help those that were criminally mislead. Everyone else is own their own. Make sure no one starves and no one goes without medical care and that's it!

I can not believe we found 700 BILLION to ensure that rich, immoral, CEOs and their ilk stay that way while millions of Americans go to bed hungry, under-educated, and sick. This is a travesty of the hugest proportion and I am left heartsick that our government is forcing this bailout down our throats.

That Bush and Paulson tried to scare the US public into this without even allowing debate should have set off warning bells so loud that even the deaf could hear them. Please tell your representatives not to agree to this redistribution of wealth from the poor to the rich.
