i hear you have to file tax for wins in gambling. but how would i know how much i win/loss? i dont keep track. i go to the casino, play some, win some lose some, go eat, go home. i do that at least several times a month. its been 4 years, i have absolutely no clue how much ive won or lost. how the hell am i suppose to know how much to file
oh and i suppose everybody brings a little notebook to the casino, and jot down every dollar they win or lose, this tax stuff is so retarded, why does the gov have the stick their nose in everytime MONEY comes up
You only have to make notation as to how many chips you buy before you start and how many you cash in at the end of the night. You can only deduct gambling losses( as opposed to other types of losses) from gambling winnings. The government has to find some way to pay for those golden parachutes to be given away with the bailout
I don't know where you are, but the casinos in Conn. only worry about tax after a certain amount of winnings. I think it's around $1000 or $1500. Anything above that, and you have to fill out a tax form before you even get paid. Anything below that is not a big win in their eyes. Or the laws', either. No one is going to come looking for taxes on your $200 dollar blackjack win.
Relax and play cards all you want. Most of us aren't good enough to worry about the tax man.
