I'm buying gifts for a friend of mine who's turning 24 later this year. I have 3 gifts in mind. 2 of the gifts are DVD sets to shows I know she likes a lot, So I know that will make her happy. The other is a slightly more out of the box. She's a hello kitty fan so I saw a very cute clock online and I think she may like it very much so but it's a bit more of a risk.
My other dilemma is her birthday and Christmas are pretty close so would I be better off keeping the Clock for Christmas or buy the DVDs and splitting them for each occasion?
The Clock in Question is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9Oga7k_KSs
I suggest give her one of the dvd box sets for her birthday and the other for christmas, that way you know that you have two presents that your friend will like. however, before you buy the dvd sets it wouldn't hurt to check to see if she already owns the dvd sets, if it turns out she already owns them, then I'd buy the clock.
I would split it up. Perhaps give her one of the DVD sets for her birthday and the rest of the stuff for Christmas. That way she gets a bit of something for each day. She is not overwhelmed with DVDs at one time.
