You should attend some of the larger megachurches here in Texas -- several of them have ATMs in them, and a few have coffee shops and/or fast food establishments in them.
Makes me really appreciate my small, humble Lutheran church where we've done really well if we have 80 people attending on Sunday. If we have extra money, there are always some hungry people who need food or sick people who need to see a doctor or have a prescription filled, or someone who needs a utility bill paid before their utilities are disconnected -- which I think is money better spent, rather than spending the money on a Starbucks so our creature comforts will be met!
some (if not most) denominations frown on gambling not because it is a "sin"--(i didn't know that was one of the commandments), but because it CAN become addictive. anyway, the whole "gambling is a sin" thing was started because the roman soldiers cast lots (dice) for Jesus' clothes while he was hanging on a cross; thereby making any form of "gambling" disrespectful and an abomination.
