-Those that play with an advantage
-Those that dont play with an advanatge
99.99% of all players fall in to the category of players at a disadvantage. If you are not playing with an advantage the best betting strategy is to bet only the table minimum ALL OF THE TIME no matter what. (and yes that means NO rasing your bet as in a martingale system) Also to reduce the amount of money you lose, you shoudl play by what is known as "basic playing strategy" which you can learn at http://www.hitorstand.net do not wuestion the plays ona basic strategy chart, no matter how wrong you think they are, they are right, and they are the correct plays to make.
Playing according to basic strategy will reduce the house edge to -0.62% or less depending on the game.
To further reduce the house edge, you could only play games where the dealer does not hit on a soft 17 (it will be written on the felt of the table if they do)
To fall into the category of playing with an advantage, you need to learn to count cards and employ other tactics to gain an edge over the house.
The basic strategy won't win you any money. It will assure you that you will loose at a small overall rate. That rate is subject to opinion. If you do card counting and have a betting strategy, that can lower that rate but then you will attract attention if you seem to win a lot. I would not take the game to seriously. It's easy to get on a streak and win a lot of money, then put it all back plus more thinking you are the world's greatest blackjack player.
