Well the thruth is that it depends.
When i got to San Juan id check is mandatory and i look way older than my age.
It all depends on the club but 95% of the time they will ask you for id.

when i was 17 i went out with my older friends and we convinced the body guards that we left our id sometimes (not alway) this worked and they let us in.
Drinking age is 18.
If you go to clubs and casinos, then yes, you probably will be carded. Especially if you are a guy.
If you stop off at a local little bar on the side of the road, then no, you probably won't get carded.
It all depends. Drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18. However, if you look older, then you will not be carded. Only in the big famous clubs you will be carded. If you go to little pubs, and in a big group you will not be carded. Normally, chicks are not carded because they are the main attractions of the club. Guys, well, if you look young you will be kicked out. When trying to get in, always act in a sure way, dont get nervous or something. Act like you where 20 or something. If asked, then create yourself an excuse. Say you left it in the car, etc. Concerning the casino, NONE teenagers are allowed. ANY casino allow teenagers. You will always be carded. And if you have a chance to sneak your way in, (not gona happen), then if you win some good BUCKS you will not be awarded because you are under age.
