I did call the hospital to get mine, I am from a small town. But when I moved to a bigger town I called the hospital I was born at and they sent me one. It is not an original obviously but they did send me one. Call the hospital and see what they say. Good luck...

You have to request a copy at the court house in the county in which you were born. By the way, tell your husband he was right!! (wink)

You have to go through the state you live in.. Vital records.
Hospitals don't keep archives of births for the public....
