The conversation between my friend (Allen) and I (Jeff) went something like this:
J: Pull over, I gotta take a restroom break.
A: Are you serious, can't you wait?
J: No. Pull over now.
A: No, we'll pull over at the rest stop a few more down from here. I don't want to stop yet.
J: No, man. I gotta go now.
A: Dude, we'll get there by 2:45.
J: Allright, you want to bet?
A: Yea, I bet you we will be there by 2:45.
J: You're on.
We pulled into the rest stop at 2:45 and 15 seconds.
Who wins the bet?
2:45 is a precise time that comes before 2:45:01. If you had said we can be there in 15 minutes, then the mathmatical margin of error would call for arrival between 14:30 and 15:30. As you chose a precise time, you lose.
